Upcoming Event: Vision Board Workshop with DXD

August 11, 2012 Carla Thorpe will facilitate a Vision Board Workshop from 11am-1pm. She will show you how to focus on a particular goal by creating a vision board with all the attributes you need to achieve it. A completed vision board should go in a common area of your living space for you to remember the goal and continue to work towards it. Join us to create a vision of the life you intend to live. It is never to late to refocus! Materials provided. The workshop will take place at IDEA Public Charter High School WELLNESS CENTER. This is a FREE workshop. All you have to do is register and show up. DeanwoodxDesign highlights one of the District’s earliest African American communities from a design perspective. During a four-month period (June 30-Oct. 31, 2012), DeanwoodxDesign will feature workshops, exhibitions, and cultural events that reflect the theme of “design” from four unique aspects: community, sustainability, multimedia, and lifestyle. The Crossroads

As with anything in life change is inevitable. For me my business has gone through its highs and lows and I have seen that my dedication to certain services stand strong. Times have changed. People surely have changed and I have to make a decision that will impact the rest of my career. What changes do I want for Make It Happen Consulting? The mission has been to be the helping hand that others need to fulfill their dream. It was not until this year that my clients have been allowing me to do just that. I am just a help giving them information to help them follow out their passion. Not every client has given me that opportunity. It has been not only do I want you to consult me but do it as well. The reason I have my company is because I am passionate about organization and structure. When it comes to taking over someone else dream that is not where my heart is. That leaves me where I stand today. I want to be effective, happy and successful. I have to look internally for that voice that speaks to my heart and the change I want to be in this world. Not everyone will have these moments but they are common. The best thing to do is take it in stride and be ready for a shift. It could be exactly what the business needs. Reach Out

With the current changes in the economy businesses have to find new ways to reach their customers. Sometimes it is forgotten that the community outreach is one of the most effective ways to show services, products and the interest of a business.

Each month a national cause is highlighted. The month of October is especially focused on because of Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence.

Since it is possible that many of the targetted market for businesses have been affected by these causes being attached to a event, fundraiser or walk is not only a good marketing move but wonderful route to reach new customers.
