Community Event Announcement

The U.S. is currently in a recession. Many people that once lived normal, comfortable lives (home, transportation, and money) are now homeless.

Chuck Brown "Godfather of GoGo" and Brenda Eason owner of the BBON (Black Business Owners Network) know firsthand what being homeless is like. They have joined forces with the support of the community to help families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area

This will be the first of many shelter events hosted by Brenda Eason, as she wants to give back to those who are less fortunate. She remembers life in a shelter and only hopes to help families progress, just as she was able to do. The tour is titled “Gift of Hope” because Mrs. Eason wants to give hope to those currently experiencing homelessness.

They are asking the community, organizations and business owners to come forward with winter clothing (coats preferred) toys and potentially CD players for each family.

If you would like to make a donation please contact Amy Rice at 202-726-2203. The event is on December 20th so donations are needed quickly. Members of the press who would like to cover this story should contact Brenda Eason at Brenda@BBON.biz or 301-312-4936.

For more information on this and other upcoming community events visit the BBON at www.BBON.org

It is ok to take a break

We have all had a very productive year. We have accomplished some goals, helped others plus see things go to the next level. We all deserve a pat on the back!

Now the holidays are here which leaves sometime for family, friends and completing some projects.

As business owners, visionaries or assistants it is important to take the time needed to regroup and prepare for the next stage of success.

What dates will the offices be closed?
What time has been set aside to focus on the projects that have not been worked out because other things were completed?

We all have to schedule time so we can be ready.

When is the break?

The Beauty of a Wedding

If you have ever attended a wedding you know how wonderful it is to see two people come together as one. You are honored to witness a union that has been brought together in love.

We have taken our organization, project management and desire to help others and created the Wedding Coordination department of Make It Happen Consulting. www.makeithappenc.com

In this new department we hope to either:
Help Brides from start til the big day
Work the Ceremony and Reception to ensure things run smoothly
Offer vendors to fit in the budget
Give a free consultation that reviews where the couple is and what it will take in order to have the perfect day they want.

The journey is new but it is exciting already as we have signed two couples since our start date in October 2008.

Please feel free to contact our head coordinator Carla Thorpe at cthorpemakeithappen@gmail.com

We look forward to helping you create the wedding of your dreams.
